Fast & Furious Presents Hobbs & Shaw, Also known as Hobbs & Shaw: Fast & Furious And Hobbs & Shaw, is an American comedy film that was directed by David Leitch in 2019. It was written by Drew Pearce and Chris Morgan, based on a Morgan story. It is a spinoff of the Fast & Furious. Dwayne Johnson, Jason Statham, and Vanessa Kirby reprise their roles as Luke Hobbs, Deckard Shaw, respectively. Helen Mirren is also featured in the film. The plot follows the unlikely pairing of the titular characters as they team up with Shaw’s sister (Kirby) to battle a cybernetically-enhanced terrorist (Elba) threatening the world with a deadly virus.
Vin Diesel, the series star and producer, first stated in 2015 that potential spinoffs were being considered. Hobbs & Shaw officially announced this in October 2017. In April 2018, Leitch was signed on as the director, and Elba and Kirby joined the cast in July 2018. Filming began in September 2018 and continued through January 2019. Most of the filming took place in London or Glasgow.
Hobbs & Shaw was premiered in Hollywood at the Dolby Theatre on July 13, 2019. It was theatrically released in America by Universal Pictures on August 2, 2019. Rotten Tomatoes reported that the film earned $760 million worldwide. Critics praised the film for its “well-matched stars” and “over-the-top action scenes.

- Dwayne Johnson portrays Luke Hobbs, a former DSS agent who was assigned by the CIA as a partner with Shaw to stop Snowflake despite their mutual hatred.
- Jason Statham plays Deckard Shaw, a mercenary who was once with British Special Forces and MI6. Hattie’s brother. He remains at odds with Hobbs but joins forces to protect Hattie.
- Idris Elba portrays Brixton Lore, cyber-genetically enhanced terrorist who works for Eteon. She is also a former MI6 field agent and has a history of working with Deckard.
- Vanessa Kirby portrays Hattie Shaw, an MI6 field agent, and the sister to Deckard who is being hunted down by Brixton.
- Eiza Gonzalez plays Margarita/Madam M, a prominent thief, friend, and ex-love of Deckard.
- Cliff Curtis plays Jonah Hobbs, Luke’s estranged brother and a mechanic. He is also the computer genius in the family.
- Helen Mirren portrays Magdalene Shaw (Queenie Shaw), a criminal mastermind who is also the mother of Deckard Shaw and Hattie.
- Joe “Roman Reigns”, Anoa’i, Luke’s brother.
- Eddie Marsan portrays Professor Andreiko. He is a Nobel Prize-winning scientist who developed the Snowflake virus.
- Eliana Su’a, Luke’s daughter, as Sam Hobbs.
- John Tui is Kal Hobbs’ brother, Luke.
Lori Pelenise Tuisano plays Sefina Hobbs (the mother of Luke Hobbs) and the matriarch of Hobbs’ family, while Josh Mauga plays Timo Hobbs (Luke’s brother). Rob Delaney plays the role of CIA agent Loeb, while David Leitch, the film’s director, makes a brief appearance as an Eteon helicopter captain. Ryan Reynolds and Kevin Hart appear uncredited as Victor Locke, CIA agent, and Air Marshal Dinkley, respectively. Reynolds also voices the role of Eteon Director, a role for which Keanu Reeves was in negotiations.
